Whether you’ve been a Reddit user for many years or joined more recently during the hype surrounding the subreddit “r/wallstreetbets,” it’s clear to see how much content is posted on the site every single day.
One of the most well-known subreddits is r/IAmA, a format founded in 2009 that stands for Ask Me Anything and allows everyone from politicians and celebrities to everyday people to start a digital Q&A session. (Fun fact: the most popular AMA in 2021 was “I’m a lobster diver who recently survived being inside of a whale. AMA!“)

What content is reviewed on Reddit?
Our Reddit scan reviews your 1,000 most recent posts—both text and images—which could potentially damage your professional reputation. Whether you’re the original poster (OP) or commenting on another thread, the scan will review those posts.
What content gets flagged?
Just like the scans for our other networks, the Reddit scan looks for content that could damage your professional reputation. For images, the service will flag items such as weapons, racy imagery, adult content, drugs, and alcohol. Within the text, the service will flag profanity, inflammatory and toxic content, as well as highlight negative comments towards an individual or group.
What can I do with flagged content?
Flagged items will include damaging posts that the service has deemed either a medium or high-risk post toward your professional reputation. The service will include why a particular post was flagged, but it is ultimately up to the member to determine their action. By selecting a flagged post and clicking delete, the tool will automatically delete the post on Reddit. If a flagged item is not something the member wants to delete, they can just as easily select that post and click “OK with me,” which will remove the flag from that post. Members will also be able to do bulk deletion—enabling them to delete all Reddit posts over a specified period.
